Focus: High Protein, Salt-Restricted Diet

 

What You Can Eat (Do’s):
1. Proteins (High Protein Focus):

– Lean meats: Chicken (skinless), turkey, fish
– Eggs (preferably egg whites)
– Dairy: Cottage cheese (paneer), yogurt (low salt)
– Plant-based proteins: Tofu, lentils (small amounts), soy products

2. Vegetables:
– Spinach, carrots, green beans, zucchini
– Cooked or steamed vegetables (avoid excess oil)

3. Fruits:
– Apples, papaya, pears
– Citrus fruits (lemon, orange) in moderation

4. Grains and Cereals:
– Brown rice, oats, quinoa
– Whole wheat bread (low salt or homemade)

5. Low Sodium Foods:
– Fresh foods without added salt
– Homemade soups (with no salt added)

6. Hydration:
– Plenty of water (as recommended by a doctor)
– Coconut water (unsweetened), lemon water (without salt)

– Packaged foods like chips, salted nuts, and ready-to-eat meals

2. Fried and Fatty Foods:
– Deep-fried items (samosas, pakoras)
– Butter, margarine, cream-based foods

3. Sugary and Refined Products:
– Sugary drinks, sweets, and desserts
– White bread, maida-based products

4. Alcohol:
– Strictly avoid alcohol in all forms

5. Excess Spices and Seasonings:
– Foods with too much salt, sauces like soy sauce
